As Kerala got intensified with the fight against Covid 19 , major concern of authorities is the public awareness about the need to limit mobility and keep a safe distance from others. Three elderly women who are back to Kerala after a leisure trip in Bali, have put a path for others to follow so as to limit the chances of contracting the dreadful virus causing the disease Covid-19.
Erankulam native K Leelakutty Amma, 84; Cherthala natives P Rathnamma, 76; and S vijayalakshmi 71, have isolated themselves since March 12. Keeping in line with precautionary measures, they take immediate decision to stand out under self- Quarantine. From the Airport , they went straight to another house instead of returning to their homes. They are now living at the house of LeelaKutty Amma’s Son in Kochi. Her daughter Rama brings milk and other essentials leaves them at the gate.
The quarantine period of three will end on March 26. Leelakutty Amma is a retired teacher of the government school Elamakkara. Her sister in Law Rathnamm, a former nurse set the bali trip after a three- month treatment for back ache. Vijayallakshmi is yet another close relative. She had earlier undergone a heart surgery. Their exemplary conduct set out when reports emerge of people conceals their travel details to evade quarantine.
