Covid 19: Third death in Kerala ; 72 year –old dies

Moving the Kerala Covid toll to three, the state has reported one more death due to the deadly disease on Saturday. A 71-year-old Puducherry native died in Pariyaram Medical College in Kerala’s Kannur district. The dead person was Cherukallayi native Mahroof(71) . The patient was died before the state health department could fully trace the source from which he had contracted the disease.

After he had caught fever on March 26 took first treatment from Thalassery.  Later he experienced breathing trouble and was admitted there on March 31. As condition worsened further, he was shifted to Kannur MIMS hospital that day evening. In this hospital, his diseases was confirmed and was referred to Pariyaram Medical College. It is found that he had no travel history but had attended several family events before he confirmed sick. Later, he had mingled with many persons around the home.

Among the samples 28 persons were sent for testing and none of them tested positive . Mahroof had gone to mosque and also had attended the ‘ bride seeing’ ceremony of his son. There also reports say that he had travelled to New Mahe, Panniyannur and Chokli panchayaths and attended in marriages.  It is also said that he had several relationships in Thalassery. The health department has not released the details of of his funeral yet.
